High Guard officer rank is indicated by pins on the collar of the duty uniforms. Pins are generally blue with gold rank symbols.

Argosy - the symbol for O-7 and above is a five pointed star surrounded by five smaller stars. O-6 is a stylized sun. 0-5 is a starbust with eight points. 0-4 a starburst with four points. 0-3 is a full moon. 0-2 a half moon. 0-1 a quarter moon.
